Jevon Parham Profile
Jevon Parham
Pride of the South
My name is Jevon Shamir Parham. I started playing billiards at the age of 16 and began competing at the age of 17. Initially, I pleaded with teams to let me join, but unfortunately, none were interested. Undeterred, I decided to form my own team. After my first season, the best team at the time—Challengers—owned by my uncle, invited me to play with them. At 18 years old, I joined Challengers and faced several obstacles within the team. The top players would sometimes insult me and exclude me from the lineup when my uncle wasn’t around. Determined, I told them that one day I would be writing their lineup and representing Punta Gorda on my own.
“Learn to love and respect the game first, and then it will become interesting and amazing!”
By the age of 19, I had become one of the top players in PG. Despite not having my own billiards table, I continued to practice diligently at the bars billiards tables. And today, on February 25, 2024, I can proudly say that I am among Belize’s top 5 billiards players.
